ADHD Primary Care Connect

ADHD Primary Care Connect gives eligible adults a simple and safe way to get an ADHD assessment. It helps people reach the right level of care for their individual needs, without unnecessary delay. Through the new pilot service, specialist GP teams in Brighton and Hove, Crawley, and Hastings assess and support adults with lower-risk needs, providing trusted local care.

About the service

The service starts with a single triage point through a person’s GP. This helps the team understand their needs early and place them on the right care pathway.

Our specialist GP teams in Crawley, Brighton and Hastings receive training, advice and ongoing support from Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT). Digital tools support referral, triage and assessment, with more features planned as the pilot develops.

Adults with more complex needs will continue to receive care from specialist mental health teams at SPFT. This allows them to focus on people who need more complex levels of support.

The pilot accepts new referrals and a limited number of suitable patients from existing waiting lists. It aims to offer fair access, faster care, and a clear, high-quality pathway for adults in Sussex.

This approach supports efforts to reduce long waits for adult ADHD services.
